Visualizer accuracy

How important is the accuracy of the visualizer?  I'm sequencing a song and when I play it to check my timings, the visualizer timing is way off, but the timing in the sequence editor is spot on.

My visualizer is spot accurate to the timing. Not sure what's going on with yours unless its your antivirus blocking or some other processes slowing things down.

I just ran through it again and it appears that the sequence editor isn't playing recognizing certain parts of the sequence.  They show up on the grid but the buttons aren't lighting up.  I'm going to try uninstalling/re-installing the software.

Also, don't forget that you will have timing issues if you use a VBR (Variable Bit Rate) mp3 audio file (common with mp3s purchased from Amazon etc).

Another trick for improving Visualizer playback is to disable the "move grid with play" and "vary color of channel button fonts" in the Play drop-down menu.

I'm thinking you need the visualizer to update it's channel assignments to the hardware profile.
