sirrob28
This year so far has been a struggle with my CCRs. I had to send in 2 for repair and purchased 2 for a back up. We started to put our 12 ccr tree together for halloween and I have one strip that stays lite in red. It is the entire strip. I looked for breaks with no luck. I have never seen a strip just lite in red. Does anyone have any idea what might be causing this?
Dennis Laff
Switch that strip with another controller and you will know if it's the strip or controller.
Don
If it's a strip or a controller, I'd go ahead and put in a ticket at the help desk. (Link at top of forums.)
sirrob28
It's the strip. I tried different controllers with the same result.
sirrob28
Well after further review we found that it was a broken wire, we fixed it we believe and our ccr tree is up and running the halloween show. So far so good.
LANETT
I have the same thing happening, only in blue. it stays on regardless. i have switched the controllers, cables, etc, still on. how to find a broken wire?
sirrob28
The one strip that was completely on was a broken wire going into the strip. I found it by moving the wires around. Now where I had a section that was on I would press on the diodes near where the proplem was and watch for the lights to change and that worked every time.
