PMC
This year instead of being a christmas music media player with blinking lights, I want to take the book of Matthew and do the Birth of Jesus in spoken word and set it to music and of course blink some lights as well here is a sample of what I am working on. https://db.tt/ekeZsfpL
Dale W
Interesting. If I may offer you a bit of criticism, without you thinking I am tearing you down:I found it boring. The narrative was good, but slow. The second song....not nearly upbeat. The question becomes, "why this approach". Is it to get the gospel out? To,do something different? To give honor to the Savior? If yes, rethink your songs.People don't want slow and sappy songs (IMO). They want to see flash and dazzle. It's good. Here's How to make it better: find upbeat and faster versions of "do you see what I see". Perhaps by stellar kart, casting crowns or other contemporary artist. Also, mix it up with child friendly standards. If you don't want to do secular, then I think you will have people driving away in droves. And that isn't the goal of your display...so figure out a way to attract their attention...and sneak in a segment that they can hear something different....that being said, there will be people that don't want to be preached to. Conversely, your display might be the only exposure to the gospel they get...in a year...or ever. So, be wise in your choices and don't limit yourself and your display.Hope this helps. Box on Rails
I feel the same way as Dale and would add Using singing face animation of some type for the narrative might attract some attention too.
PMC
I was looking at something for Christmas Eve, just to be different, so far I have about an hour of content and 75% is upbeat/tempo, as for scheduling it would play every other hour all night long
Dale W
Instead of "do you hear", consider "joy to the world". ....if you don't already have it in.
