Aaaarrrrggghhhh Visualizer

Sure would be nice to have a few hundred more fixtures added to the visualizer limit. I know it's coming, but even with all the tricks that are out there, I still need 4 visualizer screens. Now to top it all off, I have to create a 5th screen for 128 friggin pixels and 8 floods! 136 RGB elements and it won't fit.!

All of my sequencing gets done in Superstar, so I need the visualizers.

Anybody from LOR giving any hints as to when the super secret date for when the new updates are coming  Just a ballpark figure would suffice probably everybody.

OK, I know, I know. It's not something that's ready to be given. Doesn't hurt to ask though.

My rant is over now. I got that out of my system. Now, back to sequencing.

Ron,

Most of mine are drawn in using CCR's and it works great for me. Doug is the man when it comes to this ...

Yeah, Jeff, a lot of mine are too, but some of my elements just don't come out equal to a CCR or Superstar imports them in opposite directions Than what they're supposed to be. I understand that Superstar was developed for trees or a matrix, but when you have a 10 arm pixel burst, It's kind of hard to get them right.

Doug was the one who turned me on to the CCR fake-out

Yep and I have the unused in a pile beside the fixture. I just don't program ass the ones I am using. It work but I hope to see a big change in this setup in the software soon. Note I did say HOPE!!!

Yeah, my CCR fake out works great for normal sequencing but doesn't always work correctly in Superstar unfortunately.

Right now, I have five, one for each RGB tree (2 total), one for bursts, one for Pixel Icicles and windows, Circles and floods and then the triangle. I guess that's six now that I count them. I sure hope the new updates will help out.

Yep, fingers crossed they help and come quickly.  I would just love for them to fix that bit now, not really worried about the rest.

For Superstar users, yes that would be a great asset. It also is a major deal for seeing the entire show in the visualizer. The OP was because I couldn't add my Circles. Now I added a 5 ring triangle, so I'm really hosed until the updates come.

Thanks for the Geico Hump Day commercial Ron. Catchy Christmas jingle. Added to the sequencing lists.

Same problem here. I used CCRs for everything and anything left over per run I just put in the corner. PITB but works. Only when I get to the final sequence, I'll have to copy and paste to my actual dmx channels. I wont be able to view anything after that and hope I don't have to make too many corrections...cuz I wont have anything to look at. I'll probably be the only one to notice so I'll just leave it.

Yeh, I put the leftovers on the actual prop, drew it overtop of line so I didnt have bits all over the place.  I too hope I dont have to change much lol.

I wont load my sequence with regular DMX channels until November after most of my lights are up. Hopefully wont have any changes after that.

That is the downside to drawing things as CCR's once you import your DMX config no visualizing after that. Typically for me during that period I am making the changes based on my real lights and don't need the visualizer to help me with that.

Just want to confirm the fixture limit is 1024? If so, I might well stop cuz I'm going to be over that limit. Using CCD is not an option as it's for a commercial display and won't have any pixel stuff. 1800+ of single color channels.

More sequencing for that park in Tennessee? Looked pretty cool last year

Thanks. Yes but expanding.

Yeah, 1,800 regular channels, no work around for that except the old animation screen.

Booo!!! Only wasted a couple of days.

If it's not pixels, why are you not using Regular fixtures (1 for each element) that can each handle 16 channels?
