  1. You found a bug! This will be fixed in the next beta release. Thanks for reporting the issue. Matt
  2. Yes you can. In the S5 Sequencer, you select "Create Playback Files". It produces a file with a .PLAY.LMS or .PLAY.LAS extension. And if you have a Pro license, it also produces an intensity data file with a .PLAY.LMS.PE.LID or .PLAY.LAS.PE.LID extension. The "play" files can be scheduled using S4 or S5. Matt
  3. Actually, not correct. You can install the beta on a PC that has never had LOR installed on it before. After installation, if you want to register it, go into the Sequencer and select Help > Upgrade Light-O-Rama -- just like you would in S4 using the Sequence Editor. Matt
  4. The problem isn't with the Curtain effect, it is that the "Mix Overlay" mode changed from the Pixel Editor to S5. It will be changing back in the next beta release. The S5 "Mix Overlay" mode will be renamed "Mix Alpha Blend". This is the same issue reported in this post: http://forums.lightorama.com/index.php?/topic/43569-effect-mixer-issues-with-imported-pe-props/ Matt
  5. The value of the left/right mix slider did not change. It was caused by the "Mix Overlay" mode changing from the Pixel Editor to the S5 Sequencer. I have changed "Mix Overlay" in S5 back to be compatible with the Pixel Editor. The new mixer function in S5 has been renamed "Mix Alpha Blend" which takes into account alpha blending. These changes will be in the next beta release. Matt
  6. This is the same issue as TC01. It will be fixed in the next beta release. Matt
  7. We have identified a bug that causes the "No response received from superstar" message to occur. It will be fixed in the next beta release. Matt
  8. You mention that the sequence is too large to attach. Could you please attach a screen shot of the Effect Generator showing the incorrect settings? Thanks, Matt
  9. I imagine this would happen to any prop then, not just to lines-unconnected? Could you please select Help > About from the S5 Sequencer menu and paste the result into a reply? Thanks, Matt
  10. To add to what Mr. P said... xLights 4 contains a "Model Export as Video" function which allows your xLights 4 sequence for a model to be exported as an AVI video file. This AVI file can then be used as the source for a Movie effect in the S4 Pixel Editor or in S5. For more information, see the xLights 4 manual. Matt
  11. I'm not sure what you mean by "it disconnects". Perhaps you could post before and after pictures? Matt
  12. There are 2 ways to rotate the lines-unconnected shape: 1) select the prop, then grab the round rotate handle and rotate the prop into place 2) select the prop, then grab the square end points of each line segment and move the endpoints into place Matt
  13. There is coding error in 5.0.0 that causes MP3 files not to play the first time after the sequence is opened. This will be fixed in the next release. If you are seeing other playback issues, please provide more detail - type of file, frequency of occurrence, etc. Thanks, Matt
  14. Any previews you created in the Pixel Editor will automatically be transferred to S5. FYI: In the Pixel Editor, previews are stored in: Light-O-Rama\PixelEditor\LORPixelEditorData.xml In S5, previews are stored in: Light-O-Rama\CommonData\LORPreviews.xml If you use DropBox or a similar cloud-based storage service, you should set the "Light-O-Rama\CommonData" directory to synchronize with your cloud storage. Matt
  15. This is a bug. Using the twinkle effect on a dumb rgb prop (color set to white) on a non-enhanced LOR network produces different results when run on an enhanced LOR network. This will be fixed in the next beta release: twinkle in white on a dumb rgb prop will produce random colors whether run on enhanced LOR, non-enhanced LOR, or DMX network. Matt
