  1. Looking to create a rotating ice skating rink this year. I have seen a few ideas on the forums, but was wondering if anyone had experience using coro to create the base. I don't know if 10 mm would support coro characters, or if plywood would be necessary? I hope to get started in June.
  2. I actually took the plunge and purchased a CZE-05B. The good news is that your recommendation for going to the channel in our vehicle and transmitter/unplugging the audio cable did give us the silence you were asking about. Then when we inched up the volume as recommended all we received was static. No music whatsoever. Laptop appears to be working (same laptop and outlet work fine with hardwired speakers). My display screen says "ST" on it (stereo?). If when I change the transmitter setting from high to low, I get the speaker with an x over it on the display. No music. If I hold the off button the x over the speaker disappears. Still no music in the car. I have also noticed that at times both of the transmitters will have a limited range of frequency choices.
  3. Nothing but static tonight. I should say that in the 20-30 times I have tried to troubleshoot this, a very very faint signal full of static has come in twice. I might think it is some of the electronics in the room, but we have put it outside, and only 50 feet away from our vehicle.
  4. Antenna appears to be hooked up correctly. These things seem pretty darn simple...that's why I am a bit stumped.
  5. I purchased the popular CZE-7C and cannot pick up any signal in our vehicle parked 50 feet away. We have adjusted the gain on the transmitter, volume on the computer, antenna length/direction, placed the transmitter inside/outside, tried a different computer, and tried different radio stations. Transmitter seems to be functioning properly. After reading through anything I can find on here, it seems like a rubber ducky antenna might be the solution, but it seems as though I should be getting SOME action out of the transmitter. Any thoughts?
  6. I have successfully loaded DMX sequences for a ribbon tree (ribbon tree is working fine), but now my simple 32 ch show will not work (neither independently nor in conjunction with the DMX sequence). Per LOR's FAQ's, the comm port matches on hardware utility and the sequence editor. The box at the bottom right of SE is red. It needs to be blue, per the FAQ. Control Lights is enabled in the play menu, and configuration looks good. The only things running are SE and Commlistener. Any thoughts?
  7. Mission completed! With a little luck I was able to get the commlistener going. You guys are truly the best!
  8. I have identified the commlistener...when I click on it, it opens up a box that looks like a command prompt, then immediately disappears. I am running Windows 10. I tried to same thing on another computer loaded with LOR and had the same results.
  9. Network preferences looks good...tests from controller to strips works. I definitely do not have commlistener running. Is that an LOR product? I searched for it in my programs/computer and did not see it.
  10. Unfortunately no. As you were helping me with the SPI outputs the screen on my laptop literally went out. Moved everything to another laptop. Went through all the installation hoops again. All tests are working properly. Configured how you advised. Pressed play on the holidaysequences sequence, and zilch on the tree itself. I've gone over everything multiple times. This is killing me!
  11. marathonvacations@gmail.com. gsmith I really appreciate it!
  12. After I set the pixels to BRG, everything tests properly (red is red, blue is blue, etc). My DMX start universes are listed in accordance with my SPI outputs, ex 1-16. (not sure if this is correct) My DMX start channels are all listed at 1 My pixels connected seems to default back to 340, no matter which number I put in. Hopefully something there tells you guys what you need to know.
  13. Ok, figured out the channels. Darn universes. On to the next problem, and I noticed this while testing. It appears as though the WS2811 strips are lined up as BRG. I configured the Alphapix as BRG. Colors are all still funky. Any thoughts on this one?!?
  14. 8 out of my 16 ribbons (9-16) are out. This is a HC unit with the Alphapix controller. All 16 test out fine. We have tried to troubleshoot anything/everything we can. Any thoughts?
  15. We upgraded this year to S4 Advanced
