  2. I really wish you would install surveillance cameras and retire on your terms.
  3. I use these as you can get a lot on one reel. I label each reel with the SPT lengths: https://www.lowes.com/pd/Bayco-150-ft-Plastic-Cord-Organizer/1260167
  4. 1. Hod Carrier (summer between junior and senior year) 2. Army (4 years) 3. Lumber Mill (just a few months) 4. Corrections Officer (9 years) 5. Cop (10 years and counting)
  5. I'm glad you didn't. Some mistakenly did
  6. As a current cop, I'd just like to say how much I appreciate all of your efforts to add some blue to your display this year - more importantly, for the reasons you're doing it. I come into contact with people on a regular basis who do not like me, solely based on my chosen profession. I'm well aware there is still a lot of good in the world, and you folks are fine examples of that. As for Old Sarge - There's always someone who has to take a positive and turn it to a negative, but I didn't expect it to be you. Before becoming a cop, I served 4 years in the U.S. Army. I receive a thank you for my military service about 25 times to each time I am thanked for my police service, so you're complaint isn't valid. I've never been badgered for my military service, however it's difficult to work a single patrol shift without being badgered at some point. I don't expect any special respect for being a peace officer or for my military service. I just expect the same respect that we should all have for one another. I don't expect a thanks for either service either, which is why I don't typically mention them. I wasn't drafted and I also became a cop by choice. As for a applicable song, I'm not much help but I'd ask that you stay away from Bob Marley's "I shot the Sheriff"". And yes, I've had less-desirables think it's funny to sing that in my presence - but hey, it's protected free speech I got a little sidetracked here, but I'm going to go ahead and speak for all LEOs when I say this - we are truly grateful when citizens show such gratitude. I'm glad I saved my tote of blues that I didn't use last year! On a side note, if anyone can find this inflatable where it isn't priced ridiculously, please let me know,
  7. I'm sure it's been stated before, but it probably needs said again. NEVER send money via PayPal as friends/family to a new member. If the deal is just too good to resist, offer to pay the PayPal fees associated with shipping goods - that way you're protected. The people associated with this hobby are almost always very kind and honest, but you still can't ignore the basics.
  8. ok. thanks
  9. I particularly like how he looks for a job just after the $600 checkout - unlike a boss
  10. I have a box of 30 non-working C9 strobe lights. I don't have the time for any repairs. They are free to anyone willing to pay the $13.45 shipping. (Medium flat rate box).
  11. Yep. It was an e-mail issue. I was able to contact him via Facebook. Thanks for the tip oilmoney
  12. I wouldn't count your chickens (great customer service) before they hatch. I've sent Todd three e-mails and have received 0 replies. I certainly don't suggest the strobe problem is his fault, but he could at least reply. I'll stay away from DIY LED Express from now on.
  13. I have a 2 foot mega tree star that I will sell for $20 + actual shipping. The star already has the frosted white rope light attached. I purchased the star from Christmaslightshow.com for $35 and used for 1 season. The star has a threaded pipe that screws into a metal flange (found at local hardware) that can be mounted to your mega tree using 4 screws. You can also screw it into the top of a standard hook head from Christmas Light Show
  14. Dean - Thanks for the tip, it worked like a charm!
  15. Today only. Get $50 off a $100 Christmas Light purchase at Target. Works in store and online. You can also make multiple transactions. I know a lot of people are not fans of big box store lights, but I've have the same 4,800 Philips C6 LED's on my mega tree for the last 5 years with very little repairs.
