Important Stuff:
The primary purpose of these forums is to get answers to questions about Light-O-Rama products and the displays that use them. This includes discussions of future products and needs. There are forums in the Midway Zone for people wanting to discuss non-Light-O-Rama topics.

The primary rule in these forums is that there be no personal attacks for lack of knowledge, spelling, grammar or anything. People of all knowledge levels and whose primary language may not be English must be comfortable posting here.

If some one posts something that you believe is dangerous or unsafe, warn the person politely and explain what the problem is. Also, please use the "Report" link within the post to notify a forum administrator so we can edit the original post if warranted. We don't want searches to find dangerous or unsafe posts which may be read without the context of your warning.

We ask that a thread stay on topic as much as possible. If a new idea is born from a thread that is not closely related to the thread, please start a new topic. There's a huge amount of info here and it really helps when people take the time to organize it. For the same reason, we ask that users who start a new topic choose a subject and description that really tells people what the topic is about. This saves people time now and helps future searchers.

The forums rules are designed so everyone can have fun here while often providing great information. If you feel that comments in the forum directed towards you are unwarranted or violate these rules, please use the "Report" link within the post to notify a forum administrator. We will handle this as quickly as we can. We are very interested in making this a fun place for everyone.

Legal Stuff:
These forums are a community; users should respect the other participants in this community. In general, users should conduct themselves in respectful, appropriate ways that encourage inclusion and cooperation. Our users express a diverse range of opinion and knowledge, and disagreements can (and should) be handled in civilized ways.

You agree, through your use of this forum, that you will not post any material which is false, defamatory, inaccurate, abusive, vulgar, hateful, harassing, obscene, profane, sexually oriented, threatening, invasive of a person's privacy, or in violation of ANY law. This is not only a forum policy, but legal action can be taken against you in accordance with appropriate law. This restricts the public posting of any private communications without the express permission of all parties involved in that communication, whether those be emails, instant message logs or any form of private messages. You also agree not to post or upload any copyrighted material unless the copyright is owned by you or you have consent from the owner of the copyrighted material.

A post which is determined to be inappropriate (in any or all of the aforementioned ways) may be removed or split from the originating topic at the discretion of the administrators, and the author may be notified about the post in question.

The administrators and moderators of this forum will attempt to remove or edit any generally objectionable material as quickly as possible. However, it is impossible to review every message. Therefore, you acknowledge that all posts made to these forums express the views and opinions of the author and not the administrators, moderators, or webmaster (except for posts by these people) and hence they will not be held liable.

In the event of inappropriate activity on these forums, violators may be subject to disciplinary action by the administration, including but not limited to: a warning from an administrator or moderator, a one-week ban from the forums, or a permanent ban if necessary. Furthermore, the webmaster, administrators, and moderators of this forum have the right to remove, edit, move, or close any topic at any time should they see fit.

You remain solely responsible for the content of your messages, and you agree to indemnify and hold harmless this forum, and any related websites to this forum. Further, by posting you grant Light-O-Rama perpetual and non-exclusive right to copy, display, modify, alter, delete, transmit, and distribute any content posted by you. We reserve the right to reveal your identity (or any information we have about you) in the event of a complaint or legal action arising from any information posted by you.

Light-O-Rama does not control or guarantee the accuracy, integrity or quality of content posted on the Forums. We take no responsibility and assume no liability for any content, or for any mistakes, defamation, slander, libel, omissions, falsehoods, obscenity, pornography, or profanity you may encounter. All content posted by users, including any opinions, advice or recommendations expressed, are those of the users providing such content and not those of Light-O-Rama. We do not endorse any content or any opinion, recommendation or advice.

Limitation of Liability
You expressly understand and agree that you bear all risks associated with using or relying on the content posted on the Forums. Light-O-Rama will not be liable or responsible in any way for any content in the Forums, including, but not limited to, any errors or omissions in the content, or for any losses or damage of any kind incurred as a result of the use of or reliance on any content.

Indemnification. You agree to defend, indemnify and hold harmless Light-O-Rama, its employees, directors, officers, affiliated companies, agents, vendors or suppliers from and against any and all claims, damages, costs and expenses, including reasonable attorneys' fees, arising from or related to your use or misuse of the site, including, without limitation, your violation of these Terms and Conditions, the infringement by you, or any other subscriber or user of your account, of any intellectual property right or other right of any person or entity.

As a user you agree to any information you enter being stored in a database. While your private information will not be disclosed to any third party without your consent, the webmaster, administrator, and moderators cannot be held responsible for any hacking attempt that may lead to the data being compromised. Your email address is generally used only to confirm your registration details and password and to send new passwords should you forget your current one. Occasionally, the administrators may be required to contact you via your email address. Therefore, a valid email address is required.

Our websites use cookies to distinguish you from other users of our website. This helps us to provide you with a personalised experience when you browse this site. Vendor Policy
The current policy is posted in this thread.

Signature Policy
Signatures on the Light-O-Rama forums must not contain attacks for lack of knowledge, spelling, grammar or anything. A signature which is determined to be inappropriate (in any or all of the aforementioned ways) may be removed at the sole discretion of the administrators. Repeated violations may lead to a restriction on signature editing for the account in question.

What happens when rules are broken?

The Light-O-Rama Forums uses a warning system. While these events and values may change at any time, here are the default settings:

Points - Actions

5 - Inappropriate Language
7 - Abusive Behavior
2 - Topic Bumping
2 - Spamming

When a warning is given the points will remain on your account for 7 days. When you reach the point levels below, the following actions will be in effect.

6 Warning Points - All posts are moderated.
15 Warning Points - No posting allowed.
20 Warning Points - Account suspended.

All actions will be for a 3 day (72 hour) period.

How do I report a post?
If you see a post that goes against the forum guidelines, please use the "Report" link found within each post. This allows the forum administrators to quickly see what posts are being reported, and allows them to be quickly reviewed. The "Report" goes to all forum administrators, not just one person.

Can I report a Private Message?
Yes. Each message you receive has a "Report" link at the bottom of it. Clicking this link will make the PM available to the forum administrators, who will then be able to review the PM and take action, if needed.

Light-O-Rama, Inc. reserves the right to remove or edit any content posted on this site.
