As far as the software I have listed in my previous posts goes, I have not used either of them, so have no idea how they function or how they change the Windows Startup screens.

The logo changed from the old style with XP. Occasionally you would start seeing the logo on a round background (blue or green circle) with XP, and then became very common with Vista and has carried on with Win7.
